Personal History
I grew up on two wheels. Observed Trials is where I cut my teeth in motorcycle competition; it was a family affair. I was the Utah state champion in 1994, and my older brother Kelly battled Geoff Aaron in their first pro year. I found my need for speed when I was 16 and I've been racing motocross ever since.
I have been an active duty US Marine for 28 years and I am still a highly competitive vet racer. Being a Marine has allowed me to race major regional and national races, not just across the country but around the world. I just returned to the US after 3 years being stationed in Okinawa Japan, where I raced the Expert class with 5 podium finishes.
Depending on where I am stationed, I always travel to the biggest races in that region: Loretta Lynn's, Mammoth Motocross, Mini-O's, World Minis, World Vets, etc. I am a competitive racer regardless of age and I’m well known for being committed, serious, and sportsmanlike.
Riding Goals
Now that I'm back in the states, I plan on racing the local series, AMA and Outlaw. I plan on doing the big one-off races in 2025, like the Daytona Supercross and Mini-Os, before making my return to Loretta Lynn's again in 2026, when I'm eligible for the +50 class.
Competitive Highlights
Top ten finish at the 2012 Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in the +30 Vet class in 2012. 15th place finish in the same class in 2010. Numerous wins and podium finishes at Area and Regional qualifiers along the way.
2nd overall in +35 Int class at the 2013 World Vet Championships at Glen Helen.
Consistent main event finishes in +30 Int class at the Monster Mammoth Motocross in 2005, 06, and 07.
Spent a year racing on the island of Okinawa Japan, where I finished 2nd overall in the 250 Expert class in 2000, and I was fortunate enough to race the exhibition class at one round of the All Japan Motocross Nationals.
