Personal History

I first raced motocross  in 1974 on a Honda XR75. It was the most intense and exciting thing that I had ever done, and my plan was to continue to race motocross as much as possible. After a move from NY to Florida in 1975, I realized that my abilities on the deep sand tracks of the mid 1970's were limited, as was my budget. Racing became more infrequent, and I eventually became more of a spectator and less of a participant.

After some brief periods of reconnecting with the racing scene, I stopped in the early 80's. Eventually, the memories of how much fun I had in my youth rekindled the desire to race vintage bikes, which I began doing in the fall of 2007. My results have been excellent, and I've made many new friends at the track on race weekends. The FLVMX series is well run, and well attended. It would be a tremendous series to sponsor, or to get recognition by sponsoring me in my events.

I currently have a stable of about 8 bikes, which I rotate through periodically in a few classes. I have 5 1975/75 CR125's, a 1977 CR125, a 1980 CR125, and a perfectly restored 1976 FMF Racer from Vintage Factory (for looking at only).

My travel rig is a 40' diesel Bounty Hunter Gulfstream RV, and my pit area is always impeccably set up, and very often visited by the other racers at each event.

I'm looking forward to vintage racing for many years, and as many potential sponsors already know, the demographic of our group of racers is typically a well funded bunch.

Riding Goals

My goals for the next year are to continue racing the 0-200 B Vintage class and win the series championship. I then plan on moving to the 0-200 Vintage A division and doing my best to finish at the front.

Competitive Highlights

In my first season of racing, I have finished first in every FLVMX moto that I've entered, except one weekend where I DNF'd with a blown motor while leading.

My very first AHRMA national results were good. I went 4-5 in Sportsman Intermediate, only to then be told that I had been moved to Novice and had achieved a 1-1 finish. My first national victory.
