Personal History
Written by Matt Wilson, Mark's Dad
My name is Mark Wilson and I'm ten years old and live in Weatherford, Oklahoma. I have been riding dirt bikes for three years and just started competing in October 2013. Riding my KTM is what I love. When I get home from school all I do is ride. I would rather ride my dirtbike than any other thing.
Riding Goals
I would like to be a professional dirt bike racer and mechanic when I get older. I love to win but when I can't I do my best and don't ever act like a poor loser.
Competitive Highlights
The first association I raced in was TORO (Texas Offroad Racing Organization) and rode in the 65 Intermediate class. I placed mostly third but did place second one time and placed third for the series. In the TCCRA (Texas Cross Country Racing Association) I started out in the 65 beginner class, but won by such a large margin that I moved up to the 65 intermediate class. I have placed first in all six of the TCCRA races now and am leading the points. I'm also racing the long track at TCCRA on Sundays to help me get better. I have run two of those so far and placed 4th out of 28 riders and 9th out of 18 riders.
