Personal History
Hi. My name is Mariah LaCount. Wisconsin is my state, and I live in a small town called Howard, which is on the outskirts of Green Bay. I started racing in the fall of 2011. i started out on a Kawisaki KX 85 and moved up to a Ktm SX 125 in the begining of 2012. My family owns Pine Ridge Raceway, a motocross track in up north, Athelstane, Wisconsin. i got into racing because all of my cousins race, and, one of my best friends raced and i thought i should give it a try. Little did I know, that i would love it so much. His family has helped me so much and the more i practiced with them, the better i got. now, after 1 year of racing, I was taking trophys, placing relatively high in my motos, and now 8 year later, I am in 4th for District 16 points and I have done 16 races for the 2019 season. Motocross is one thing that makes my family proud of me. And I love seeing my mom and boyfriend jump up and down as I get the holeshot or pass someone. It makes my life. Thanks for looking at my page! -Mariah #12
Riding Goals
For the 2020 race season, I plan to practice more and to place higher in my motos. This year I will be taking 4th in the Women's class for D16, so I want to take a 3rd or higher next year.
Competitive Highlights
August of 2018 I took third in the Battle of Wisconsin and got to make a speech on the podium. It is a 2 day event in which we do supercross Saturday night, then motocross Sunday. I was so cool to get on the podium for the first time!
