Personal History

My name is Marcus Talamantez. I am from North Richland Hills, Texas. Family man with 2 girls. I am a manufacturing engineer for a local company and also have a small lipo battery company.  I got into the hobby of Rc racing in 2018 at the age of 25. I was previously out of high school helping a friend build race motors for 1g and 2g Mitsubishi and Eagle awd race cars. I lived at the race track growing up. There were a few close calls during my street racing days that let me realize it was time to do something safer but still competitive. I came across this hobby at a local hobby shop and was hooked since then. It’s a family friendly atmosphere but I can still be competitive and keep my brain busy while enjoying the hobby. I enjoy helping others during a struggle or even with generic questions. It’s no fun being the guy struggling with zero help.  My family is starting to show their interest in racing and it’s a great thing to see. We travel nationally to events that are broadcasted on Facebook live and YouTube. Some events have up to 250 entry’s and payouts up to $14,000 dollars. It would be great to see this sport eventually be broadcasted on a large network like others.

Riding Goals

Win the RCDRL prostreet & prostock 2023 point series. Continue to have the hobby grow. Leave a legacy of people knowing they could ask any questions and get help with out being responded with a sarcastic response or false information. Represent my sponsors as best as I can and learn marketing tricks to make my program look better overall.

Competitive Highlights

I was the “super nerd” of the Promod RCDRL 2019 Championship team.
Built my previous company “Royalty Rc Mfg” into a competive chassis company in the hobby before I sold it.
