Competitive Highlights
Kahuku Grand Prix 2015: 1st place, B Womens. 3rd place overall.
HMA Sprint Enduro: Qualifying 1st place. Entered in Womens, line up after the B class, my time would've qualified 15th & made the cut off for the main event for the B class. Got the holeshot and a 1st place, Womens Open.
HMA Straight Enduro: Womens, win by default, only girl that entered the whole race. B class, put in 10 runs in qualifying, 6 rides on the big bike prior to this race, struggled decently, fastest time through was 48 seconds. Great learning experience, looking forward to the next race!
Kahuku Grand Prix 2016: 1st place, B Womens. 1st place overall. This is my last race in the B Womens class for the GP's. Next year I'll be racing in the mens B class. A/B run the same course but I don't quite think I'm ready to battle it out with the A riders, not yet.
HMA Hare & Hound 2016: 3rd place, B Womens. One of the hardest races I've ever done. I knew from the beginning I would most likely not finish the course (most riders did not). From there I pushed myself totally exhausted to keep going as far as I could, I pulled 3 checks out of 5 in the first loop. It was a brutal race for me I'll be honest. I rode my heart out and I had so much fun having the chance to ride most of the course and it was a wonderful learning experience!
HMA Sprint Challenge 2017: 1st place, Womens. Four motos total, three loops, fourth moto was a combination of all 3 loops. I had good battles with people in my class as well as other classes. Took home the win from this race going 1-2-1-2. Scoring was 1st-1, 2nd-2, 3rd-3 etc. Lowest score overall wins! This was one of the most fun races I've entered so far! Coming into this race I was recovering from being sick and just finished wrapping up school with my finals, so I was racing at a solid 85-90% (which is not bad at all, nice steady pace)... check out the video with me and my buddies GoPros here: https://youtu.be/Y6X-Ik3IZlg
Kahuku Grand Prix 2017: 3rd place, A Women's. Stepped up to the A class, finally :) I'm very proud of how this race turned out because this was the first time I raced the longer loop, more technical as well. 3hrs, did 3 laps. I got the holeshot and lead for about half of the first lap then got turned around a bit and dropped into 3rd and settled into a pace. I was in shape stamina wise but not riding endurance, need to work on that. This was a fun learning experience because it was the type of trails we usually ride but at race pace it's a totally different animal. Overall I took 35th out of about 100+ people in race 1. I pushed myself a lot this race. The point where I was about to give up but knew I couldn't. I'll be working a lot on everything and always excited for the next race!
