Personal History

Hello, My name is Madison Henderson. I am 17 years old and I love riding dirtbikes. I also like to hunt, fish, and ride horses. I have a great family life. My mom and dad work really hard to give me everything they can. I am the youngest of 5 children. I have 4 big brothers and I am the only girl. I home school and I am in the 11th grade. I started riding dirtbikes about 5 1/2 years ago. We started racing a TMXA series soon after that. My dad and 1 of my brothers race too. That helps me to try to go faster to beat them when we practice. In 2009, I was the TMXA Girls Champion. It was very exciting. It was a tight points race all the way through the season and went down to the last race to determine the winner. In the 2010 TMXA season I finished1st in the Girls class and also 1st in the Woman's class. In the 2011 TMXA Season I was 1st in Woman's. In the 2012 TMXA Season I was 1st in Woman's, 3rd in Schoolboy, 8th in 250 C and 450 C classes. In 2012 I tried my first try at a qualifier and placed 4th overall at Thunder Valley. I placed 17th in the regional at Ballance. It taught me a lot. In 2014, I am running the woman's, 16-24 Trophy, 250C, and 450C classes. I plan on attending some qualifiers and regionals with some hope of making it to Loretta's for 2014.

Riding Goals

Some of my goals for the coming year would be to race in some qualifiers and make it to Loretta Lynn's.

Competitive Highlights

One of the best moments I can tell you about is the final race of the 2009 season. It was a 2 point difference in 1st and 2nd place for the points season. I got a great holeshot and got caught up in a rut in the first turn. My bike went down but I got lucky and didn't kill it when I went down. I got back on the bike and passed everyone but 1 by the last lap and in the final turn before the finish line past the 2nd place points person. I was so excited when I crossed that finish line that I had indeed won 1st place for the final race and for the points season.
