Personal History
My name is Lucas McDonald I am 21 years old and I love racing dirt bikes. My dad bought me a ttr 50 when I was 7 years old and ever since I was hooked. I lived in Colorado riding trails and free riding until I was 10 when I moved to southern California and got introduced to track riding and racing. I had a very rough start breaking my collar bone a few months into it and shortly after that I broke both of my legs at the same time. Racing wise, I have provided all top 5 results and a few wins in my classes. My parents recently bought a 50 acre ranch in Cortez, Colorado with a full track which is a BIG help in getting my career started up. Besides racing I enjoy spending time on the lake with family and friends, mountain biking, hunting, and building cars and motorcycles.
Riding Goals
Last year I spent some time training with Gary and David Bailey. With just a short amount of time spent with them not only did I realize my potential but my fundamentals and speed have improved drastically. This coming season I am putting everything into racing. We are shooting for Mammoth, and as many other local races as I can make. Having a track at my house gives me a big training advantage.
