Personal History
My name is Lucas Hodges and I am a 7 year old motocross rider in the community. I am writing to express my interest in receiving a sponsorship from your company.
I got my first dirt bike, a Honda CRF 50, when I was three years old and I have been riding ever since. In March, I started motocross racing and competing in the Kentuckiana Series. I now have a 50cc KTM SX too.
In my first year, I am third in points in the 50cc lites class on my Honda. There are more than 50 kids in the lites class. Most times I am racing against other kids who are on KTM’s or Cobras. They may be fast, but I know how to out ride them. I watch professional Supercross riders on television and I also watch the Expert Class at my races to learn tricks and techniques that will help me when I am on the track.
On my KTM SX, I am in sixth in points out of more than 70 kids. This was my first race bike. Although it’s not a new bike like some of the kids out there with me, I know my bike well and that helps me to go fast, take quick turns and pass when I need to.
In November, I will start racing indoors. I am very excited about this but I know that it is not always easy for my mom and dad. My gear, parts for the bike, race fees and food/gas are very expensive. I would like to help them out by getting some sponsorships. I visit tracks all over Kentucky and also go to Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee. Lots of people would hear about your company. My parents say it is okay for me to put stickers on our trailer that we take racing to promote your company and let them know you have sponsored me. I can also put some big sponsors on the decals on my bike. I would greatly appreciate any monetary donations, donations of goods, free services and/or discounts. Even the smallest help would be make me happy.
