Personal History
My name is Logan Shaw and I am 16 years old and live in Belmont, NH. I started out racing go-karts when I was 5 years old. After a few years I started riding dirt bikes - mostly around our yard and on our trails. In 2018 when I was 11 years old I raced my first motocross at Canaan Lions Motocross in the 125cc Novice class on a 2005 Kawasaki KX 125. It was late in the season so I only raced a couple of times, but I was hooked.
In 2019 at Canaan MX I finished the season 4th in 125cc Novice, 3rd in the 250cc Novice. I also moved to a 2020 Honda CRF250R in September of that year.
In 2020 at Canaan MX I finished the season 1st in the 125cc, 2nd in the 250cc and 3rd in the Open MX. I also moved up to a 2021 Honda CRF250R.
For the 2021 season I moved to the NESC circuit racing all over New England. In the Spring series I finished 4th in Youth C, 6th in Open Novice and 8th in 250 C. I raced only four races in the Fall series before I fractured my wrist, which ended my season and so I placed 7th in Youth C, 10th in Open Novice and 15th in 250 C.
In 2021 I also raced The Maine Event and finished 12th in Open C, 13th in Schoolboy, and 15th in 250C.
For 2022 in NESC spring series I finished 3rd in Open Novice, 5th in Youth C, and 5th in 250 C. In the fall series I finished 5th in Youth B, 6th in Open B and 6th in 250 B.
When I'm not racing or riding, I work in our family’s mowing business and in our landscape yard. I am also very interested in mechanics and I do all of the maintenance on my bikes. I am also currently rebuilding my 1984 Chevy square body pickup truck.
Riding Goals
My goal is to make it to the Loretta Lynn Nationals this year or next. I also hope to keep improving my riding knowledge and skills.
