Personal History
Riding and Racing Background:
I first started riding a motorcycle when I was 8 years old on a Honda 50cc around the neighborhood hills & jumps. I then started to ride out in the desert over the years while I progressed to an 80cc and then a 150f. My first few races were on the 150f in the local Vet-X (now TWMX) race series in the Intro-Beg 85-150f class. In October 2011, I purchased a new 2010 YZ125 and started racing locally in the 250 and 450/Open Beginner classes.
Other Interests and Hobbies:
I am a Christian and attend a weekly high school ministry. I am also a member of the Panic Rev Ministries which is a Christian based MX group. I enjoy going to school and working hard to keep a good GPA of 3.0 and higher. For the whole 8th grade year I averaged a 3.4 GPA and was on the Honor Roll for 3 out of the 4 semesters at Roosevelt Middle School in Oceanside, CA. I also enjoy riding my BMX bike and will be starting to train on a mountain bike soon also. I used to play on travel basketball and soccer teams but now just focus on school and my riding.
Riding Goals
2012/2013 Current Goals:
My current goals for the end of 2012 are to race a few more 250 and 450/Open Beginner classes to gain a little more experience. I am also looking to gain some valuable experience with leading and finishing in the top 3 consistently before moving up to the Novice class.
For 2013 I will be getting as much seat time as possible to improve my times to compete in the 250 and 450/Open Novice classes. I will also be working with a few trainers who will help improve my body strength and cardio. I am hoping to possible qualify for a few National races this year in the C class such as World Mini’s, Mammoth, Ponca and maybe even Loretta Lynn’s. It is possible that I may move up to a 250F in early 2013 as well.
Future Goals:
My future goals are to continue to ride, train and race as much as possible over the next few years to constantly improve my riding skills and race results. I also want to continue to do well in high school as I know it will be challenging but I do have a goal to go to college and get a degree which then hopefully would lead to a job in an industry I would love for years to come. If I ever become lucky enough and I am given a chance to race at a professional level I would love to do so but I do know my education is more important than anything for the next four plus years at least anyway.
