Personal History
I started racing motocross in 1983 in the 80 class. Over the years I graduated through the ranks to ride in the 250 Expert class. In 2002 I shifted to the Harescramble scene. Up to 2016 I enjoyed many years of bush competition in the Vet class. In 2016 my family went back to Motocross with a six year old boy with the passion of a Ryan Dungey. I have had fun in the Vet classes however it is all about my son. He finished in the top 5 as a 7 year old for the season competing against 8 and 9 year olds. Even my wife is part of our riding family. She doesn’t compete but is definitely the Manager of this Race Team. I currently am a member of the Board of Directors AMSA. ( Alberta Motorsports Association ) I have dedicated my volunteer time to this organization to ensure Motocross stays alive and well in our Province and to passionately ensure my family has many years to enjoy this great Sport.
Riding Goals
To make it this year to Vet Master. Just to round out my career goal at 45. Coach my son to the best of my abilities to help him reach his motocross dreams. Last to enjoy every minute with my son and wife competing on this platform.
Competitive Highlights
35 years of wins, losses, crashes, injuries and adversities. All the competition I have banged bars with and became friends with. The Moto Family that we are part of travelling 18 weekends a summer, supporting each other and watching our kids develop into racers. All the years of riding have lead to this family race team. This is my biggest highlight.
