Rider Updates

Jun 8 2009

Well we just got back from the Nationals at Freestone and had a great time. I didn't let Lee race Friday or Sunday due to him just being released from the doctor, and being off the bike for almost 8 weeks. Regardless, we had a great time and made many new friends. We meet Chip from MUNN Racing out of Waco and bought a new 09 KTM 50 from him. Thanks Chip for letting us hang with you and your crew and share a tent to escape the heat. We are back to riding again and will start racing soon. Thanks to all of Lee's sponsors and we hope we represent you well at the track.

Jun 2 2009

This weekend we were able to let Lee ride again after his last injury. He was a little rusty, but after an hour on the bike he started to look good again. We will not be doing any races until August. The next few months will just have fun and ride togather. That's how this started, and I want to ride with him some and just have some fun.

Went back to the doctor and we have one more month before we Lee is allowed back on the bike. Thanks to all of his sponsors and once he is released I will make a new post.

Apr 5 2009

Today Lee went down and the results were a broken collor bone. I feel so sorry for him. Between the injury's last year and now this he is extremely upset. Will see what happens next after we heal up.

Mar 29 2009

Just a quick thank you to Kyle and Bryan Williams. What a great day of training. By the end of the day we knocked 3 seconds off of our lap time.

Mar 24 2009

Well the Houston HoleShot Series just finished. What a great series, with great friends and racing. I finished 3rd overall in 4-6 year old and 6th in the open. I want to thank all of my sponsors, MSR, Twin Air, Pro Taper, TH Racing, and Scott.

Mar 4 2009

After three broke arms in the past year, Lee is almost back to speed. This past weekend at 290 he went down in the last lap and was passed by four riders. When he got back up he charged like the old Lee and took those postions back. I asked him were that came from and he said that I now have my confidence back. Regardless, as his dad I'm always proud. It will be interesting to see what happens at the next race. We just purchased a helmet cam and what a great tool. Now he understands what I have been trying to tell him. Once again thanks to all of our sponsors. I will try to get some helmet cam video's posted soon. I'm still learning how to use all this hi tech stough.

Dec 15 2008

Well Lee is back on the track. He had his first race this weekend and did well. We only had two rides in prior to the race, but we had a good time. He was able to race and see his all of his friends, so it's all good. Thanks to our sponsors, and everyone have a Merry Christmas.

Dec 3 2008

Today Lee was released from the doctor. The cast is gone and he's begging to ride. It amazes me after three broke arms this year, how racing is all he thinks about. I guess he's tougher than dad. We have ten day's to knock the rust off before the next series starts. I want to thank all of his sponsors and I will be posting race reports as they come in. He also had strait A's on his last report card.

Once again after being released from the doctor we have another injury. This didn't happen on the bike but Lee now has a buckle fracture in his wrist. According to the doctor he should be released on December 3rd. The next series starts on December 13th so we will play it by ear concerning the first race. By this time he will have been off the bike for a few months and Dad needs to make sure that he is at race speed before I let him get on the track to race. That's it for now.

Oct 29 2008

Will yesterday Lee went to the doctor and it looks like November 14th is the release date. That will give him one month to knock the rust off before the next series starts. Take care everyone.

Oct 7 2008

Lee's arm is healing fine. The first 10 day's were pretty scary due to swelling. At one point his arm was almost three times the size it would normally be. The doctor thinks in another six weeks he should be back on the bike. I can't wait because the kid is driving me crazy wanting to ride. There is a winter series starting in December that we will time just right. I want to thank all his sponsors, and when he is released to ride again I will let everyone know.

Sep 20 2008

Well we made it back home today. There are alot of down tree's at our place but none were on the house. We were lucky. Just 40 miles up the road Galveston and all the other coastal towns are gone. Our prayers are with them.

Sep 9 2008

It appears that Ike will effect us this weekend. We have  race's scheduled for the 13th and 14th of September. It appears that they will be cancelled due to the Hurricane. After the storm I will let everyone know what the reshedule dates are.

Sep 8 2008

The third round this weekend at Sketter MX Park was a blast. There was alot of bar banging between me, C.J., and Jr. Reyes. I finished second in my class which puts me second in the series point standing. We have two more rounds with the next one this weekend providing the hurricane does not come our way. I also ran my new bike in the 50cc open for the first time and placed 3rd. I wish they would let me ride this bike in the 4-6 year old but dad says that it is against rules. That's all for now.

Sep 4 2008

I would like to thank my new sponsors for the upcoming 2009 season. They are MSR, Pro Taper, and Twin Air filters. Thank all three of you for making an investment in me. During the next two weeks I have four races, then we will make a choice on which series we will start next. Stay tuned to the race result section for my results.

I would like to thank Todd for the excellent job he did on Lee's new bike. That bike just flat out rips. As Lee's dad I'm very pleased with the motor mod's as well as the suspension work. It's going to take a little time for him to get use the 50SX coming off the Jr. , but he's looked good today. Did I mention that bike rips after the motor work Todd performed. Lee will continue to race the Jr. as he hones his skills on the new bike. Once again thanks TH Racing.

Aug 10 2008

Yesterday was the 2nd round of the main event series and I placed 4th. We had a great time and the track was excellent. We are getting ready to leave and head to Dallas to drop my new bike off at TH Racing. I can't wait to take it to the track after Todd get's finished. Round 3 will be held in a couple of weeks at Skeeter MX. I can't wait. It's a matter of time before I get my first, first place in this series. Yesterday I was running third in my first moto but crashed. Oh well. Everyone take care until next time.

Aug 2 2008

Man will this bike rip. I thought my Jr. was fast! I love it.  After a six hour round trip to San Antonio we came home and  then headed to the track. After a couple of practice laps I quickly learned that I need to work on my throttle control after I sailed over a table top and did a flat lander. No problem, the stock suspension held up. That's it for now. I will try to post a couple of pictures in a few day's.

Jul 30 2008

On Friday we will be picking up my new KTM. We will take it to TH Racing in a couple of weeks to have my suspension revalved and a little motor work done on it. I will continue to race my SX Jr. for the rest of the year and run my new SX in the open class. In two weeks we have the second round at Highlands MX Park for the Main Event Series. I can't wait. It will be alot of fun. Be safe everyone until next time.

Jun 22 2008

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got first place on Sunday. It was hot and fun.
