Personal History

My name is Layla" Zippin" Pippin, my friends call me Zip.

I am 12 years old and will be 13 in November. I have been riding four-wheeler since I was 5 years old. Around 11 years old my parents bought me my first dirt bike, a Honda XR 80. After about 3 months, I moved up to  CRF 150R. During a hole-shot at my first arena-cross race, I fractured 3 bones in my ankle and had to have 2 screws put in my ankle which cut my first racing season short, so I had to take a rest period. I never questioned wanting to stop racing and the injury made my desire to race motocross even stronger as I thought about racing every day during my recovery.  I was released to race again by my doctors about three months ago and have been racing every change I get since then. I have nick-named my bike "bad-boy: because it has tons of power and is a blast to ride. I live with my Mom and Dad and little brother Rayce whom I love alot. i enjoy riding jet-skis, swimming and drawing and playing with my cats and dogs, but my first-love and passion is motocross racing !!

Riding Goals

One of my main goals in the 2016/2017 year is to get better on jumping and get more comfortable on the bike. I really want to get sponsored by FLY, FOX and Alpine Stars. Another goal of mine is becoming stronger so I can pick up the bike faster if I fall.

There are not many girls in my area that ride dirt bikes. I hope to set an example for younger girls to start riding and racing and to be more confident about themselves.

Competitive Highlights

My motocross racing career is very young and I have yet to win my first event since recovering from foot surgery. I would consider one of my highlights to be having the courage to return to racing and recently finishing in front of my arch rival at my hometown track for the first time.
