Personal History
My name is Laiken Tallman. I am from southern Utah. I've been racing since mid 2022. I have a 2022 Yamaha YZ65. I love riding my dirt bike. I also like to be with my older brother and little sister. I am in the 4th grade and the only dirt bike rider in my class. My brother and I are probably the only ones who race competitively in our hometown. I am racing in the 65cc Class C.
My parents are my biggest fans. My dad who is my coach but also my mechanic. He didn't know much about dirt bikes at first but with a lot of research he's catching on. My mom is my biggest fan and also my coach. She's always standing on the side cheering me on with my dad, my older brother and my little sister.
I like to play basketball. This year will be my 2nd year of playing basketball.
Riding Goals
Riding my bike has made my free time alot more fun. I ride with my older brother and our bond is strong. He gives me tips on riding.
I am very proud of how far I have come. Next year I want to be better than I am now. I want to stay on top in points and to bring more trophies home. I also want to move up to 85 Class C because I'm getting a little to big for my 65.
Competitive Highlights
This year, I made podium a few times and it was an exciting moment for me. My first trophie was the most happiest day of my life. My family was happy for me. As the next few races came, I was ready to make podium again, and I did. I've brought home trophies and it makes me happy.
I took 3rd place in the AZOP Series this year.
