Personal History
My name is Kyle "The Cannon" Krell. I have been motocrossing for 10 years. I began riding and racing when I was 5. My Mom, Dad and friends at the track call me "The Cannon" because I shoot off the line and always get awesome starts (a lot of holeshots)! I live in the Northeast and ride all summer long. In the winter months my family takes me south during school vacations. We always bring my dirtbikes and I get to practice while I'm there. I wanted to start motocross racing because my Dad used to race when he was a kid. We like to ride together and read alot of motocross magazines. My Dad and I built a practice track at our house and I can ride whenever I want, which is almost all the time! I have a sister who is 9, she goes crazy for motocross too. During the racing season, we travel to the track on Saturdays, after I finish my homework. I have a lot of friends there. We stay in our motorhome, it's like camping every weekend. I wish the summer and the race season lasted a lot longer! Next year I will start racing a YZ 250. I am currently riding a 2015 KTM 125. I race classes such as Schoolboy, 125 2-stroke, and 250 B. I am always excited to race motocross. I have history of going to the Loretta Lynn's Amatuer National in Tennessee. This was in 2012, however injurires have kept me from atchieving my goals of making it there again. My injuries have held me back for a long time, and I am happy to be back to the skill and fitness level that I was at before all of my injuries. I have proven this with many wins at local races in New York. The past few years have been a wild ride, and im making my way back to the Nationals where I belong.
Riding Goals
In the next year my riding goals are to get myself a spot on the gate at the Loretta Lynn's Amatuer National. I am planning on trying to make it in the three classes of Schoolboy, 125 2-stroke, and 250 B. Although I am aware of the fact you can only race two classes, every spot counts.
Competitive Highlights
The past year has been a time for me to really think about racing and how I want to do it. This is because I was out with an injury.
In 2012 I got myself a spot on the gate at the Loretta Lynn's Amatuer National.
I have won many races in my local series but do not have points to prove it because we miss a lot of local races to go down South to get ready for the Loretta Lynn's qualifiers.
