Today’s race in Shelton went great. The course was fast and well marked. Had some sneaky checkpoints, but all in all things fell into place and I took second.

Racing license paid for and round 1 of the series is on 4/29. Been training hard and can’t wait to see it pay off.

Month 1 of off season training down. Month 2 here I come!

I've began my off season training. It includes physical fitness training and moto training. Timing is spot on to peak for the 2018 race season.

Had a great time training with Chris Birch. He is not only a phenomenal guy, but a phenomenal instructor. I definitely learned alot and look forward to implementing It into my training.

Knocked out 45 miles of single track in the Gifford Pinchot NF. Incredible trails and the new bike makes short work of technical sections.

Just picked up a 2017 Beta XTrainer. Loving it!

Winter is in full swing here in the Pacific Northwet. Got out for about a 25 mile trail ride. Focused on standing as much as possible. Despite the temp being below freezing it was a great ride and a successful practice.

My 2016 season is over. Time to start training for 2017. Over the next couple of months I'm going to make a few mods to the bike. Going to send the suspension off to MB1 Racing and get it revalved and set up for me, going to convert to a tubeless tire system, and I'm going to improve the cooling system.
As for my personal training I'm going to focus on improving cardio and muscular endurance.
For my riding skills I'm going to focus on standing more. I found myself standing until about halfway through races and then resorting to sitting.
For racing plans I am going to enter one of the NMA local series. Waiting on dates so I can figure out if the enduro or off road series will work with my work schedule.
I'm already pumped and ready to get started for 2017!

Awesome race today. Absolutely exhausted! 7.5 mile loops full of mud, ruts, and whoops.
Nov 8 2016
Haresport Scramble coming up in less than a week. Got some last minute practice in today. Worked on turning while standing, sitting, and stationary 180 degree turns.

Completed the 24 Hr Starvation Ridge race this morning. The weather and freshly plowed track made for a tough course. Lots of deep, power robbing, bike over heating mud! We walked away this year with 1st place in the beginners class.
Oct 24 2016
Weather is looking nasty for the race. Got out and practiced seated turns in slick mud to prepare. Now just making final preparations for the race. I'm thinking this is going to be a memorable 24 hr Starvation Ridge.

The Hareportscramble (10/9/16) was cancelled due to severe weather.

Just returned from a weekend at Coos Bay, OR. The sand was a great consistency, and the dunes were the perfect size for some family riding.
Each morning started with the family on the RZR tearing up some hill climbs and jumping the dunes. The afternoons consisted of ripping around on the bikes. The bike ran like a top thanks to my sponsors.
The last day ended with a broken kick start lever, but thanks to friends I was able to get back to camp.

Just got back from St. Anthony Sand Dunes in Idaho. Had a great time and the shear size of the dunes is amazing! "Wide open throttle, and all out of gears," is no exaggeration for Devils Dune.

Working on putting together a team for the OTBG Enduro Races. It's always a challenge as it is a big commitment and requires a good bit of travel. Atleast 40 hrs of drive time total for all the races. :( The race dates are approximate and will be updated as they are announced.

Had a great race. The conditions started out perfect and remained that away for about half the race. The course was about 21 miles and consisted of 3 loops. Loop 1 was technical, and loops 2 and 3 were about speed. The course was a lot of fun this year.
The weather eventually turned on us and the rain turned it into a sloppy mess. Some of the obstacles got so bad they had to reroute the course in the middle of the night. Bikes were broken down and racers were stranded everywhere leaving sweep riders a lot of work to do in the middle of the night.
In the end our team came in 9th place in the Open Amateur class. The only victims from this race were a broken GoPro mount, a broken hand guard, and a bruised shoulder.
Thank you to all my sponsors who made my attending this race possible.

Race is rapidly approaching and preparations are in full swing. Getting some last minute orders in (thank you to all my sponsors) and last minute practice sessions.
