Personal History
My name is Koty and I am 8 years old. I started riding when I was 5 years old. My dad took me to a Monster Jam show and at intermission they had freestyle shows featuring Cody Elkins. I told my dad that I wanted to do that. Before I knew it, I had my first bike, a 99 Yamaha PW 50. The first time I got on it, I clotheslined myself across the face with barbed wire and had to have plastic surgery and 33 stitches from temple to temple!! About three weeks after I got the stitches out, I took 3rd place at my first race. I've been going non-stop ever since! I just finished my pee-wee 50cc career with a 1st place championship trophy for the season. This has been my first year to race a 65 and I took 2nd on it for the championship!! I love to play football....I'm a bit of a ball hog! I play center mostly on offense and lately my coach has been seeing how good of a running back I am. I have played t-ball/baseball since I was 3. I played basketball two years ago but it got in the way of racing and YOU KNOW which one I picked!!!!! I keep my grades up to A's and B's so mom will let me do all of this. As you can tell, I go non-stop and I eat, sleep, and dream motocross!! Oh yeah, I also sit around and think up new freestyle tricks to try!! I get a thrill out of seeing my mom's face turn blue!! I'm a thrill seeker.....What can I say??
Riding Goals
Well, next year will be my first year to only race one bike, my KX 65. I will be able to completely concentrate on it and only get better. I wil run our local series at Sundance Motocross and hope to qualify for Ponca City again. I qualified on my 50cc but didn't go. I wanted to wait to take my 65 and blow them all away!! I hope to race some state races and travel a lot. I just wanna win and have fun!!
Competitive Highlights
I qualified for the 1st annual NNRA in Texas and took 9th overall there. We were traveling to see some family in Iowa last year and decided we might as well take my bike and find some gnarly tracks. We ended up at The Farm MX and that was a big eye opener for me. IT WAS HUGE!!! I loved it. I raced the Xtreme Winter Arenacross Series last winter. That was the first arenacross I had ever done and it was a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts of racing is the friends I get to make on the trail of tracks. It is so cool to play in each others pits inbetween races and then cheer them on if they are racing while I'm not. I have so much fun!
