Personal History

I have been enamored with all things dirt bike since I was around 6 years old. Watching my uncles and grandad rip around the desert at an early age pretty much set this in stone for me. I learned to ride at the age of about 7 or 8 on an xr 75 which I rode to death for quite some time. Next bike from there was a 2 stroke 125 that was the greatest thing in the world to me in to my teenage years. I was never very interested in racing, but more excited to just ride whenever and where ever I could. I eventually started riding the local tracks for fun and continued riding desert as I always have. Fast forward a few  years and I'm still that excited kid inside this grown up body. I love to ride and now have become very focused on racing enduros and desert events as well as some grand prix style motos. It does not always have to be about racing though. I enjoy just going out for the weekend and riding with the guys and spending time in the desert or mountains with my wife and dog. Really it's all about having a good time, which I always do.

Riding Goals

My riding goals for the current year are, for one to complete the district 37 enduro points paying events and place in the top 10 overall for the year. I am currently on track to exceed this goal with my most recent race result being 3rd which moved me into 12th OA at this point. Secondly I am going to improve my results by training and weekly practice at the track and hills. Third, I also plan on entering the SRA grand prixs at Glen Helen throughout the remainder of the year to improve my overall ability.

For the following year (2015) I plan on racing all of the district 37 enduro points paying events and would like to improve on the previous years goal by getting in to the top 7 OA for the year end. I will also be racing select hare and hound events throughout the year as well as some select grand prixs. I plan on doing the SRA gran prix series which runs every month and would like to consistantly improve my finish result at every event. I also am planning on improving my overall riding ability throughout the year with fitness training and weekly track days for moto practice and increase my endurance.

Competitive Highlights

For me the highlights so far are getting back to back 3rd place finishes in the pay it forward grand prix at Anza and the rawhide rodeo enduro qualifier at Anza as well. Although I do not have many races under my belt yet this was a big accomplishment and an improvement from the not so tuff enough enduro which I placed 6th in class. I recently raced an SRA gran prix at Glen Helen which was a good experience. I now plan on trying to do the whole series for 2015 as long as there is no conflict with the enduro series that I am doing as well. The gran prix was not so much of a highlight as it was an eye opener to a rough challenging yet fun course.

2015 update Finished off the 2014 year with an 8th overall and 2nd in class! Not to bad and I achieved the goal that I had set out for my self which was top 10 overall. For 2015 its fairly similar in that the goal will be an overall placing in the top 10. I am going to be racing the district 37 enduro series as well as the SRA series at Glen Helen which is a grand prix series of races once a month. I should be able to do the majority if those races as long as they do not conflict with the enduro series as that is the one my focus is on. For the district races I am looking to transfer up in class by winning as many as possible. I am confident and ready to kick butt. Thanks to all my sponsors for the support.
