Personal History
My name is Koltyn White. I live in Aztec, NM. I have a younger brother who just started riding a Honda TTR50 and an older sister that just got married. This is my forth year riding. I started on a 65 then moved to an 85 for two years, moved up to riding a Honda CRF 250 last year. I just got a new Husky Rockstar edition 250. I ride a few times each week to learn and improve my skills.
Last season I ended the season placing 1st in three different series. I travel with my mom out of town to meet up with some different competition (My mom is my biggest supporter and always makes sure I have everything I need, despite her bad health. She's had multiple heart surgeries, major issues with a broken foot due to a collapsed artery in her leg and now fighting blood cancer, but no matter what, she makes it happen)! I've been able to make new friends from all over that ride and have been a huge influence in my racing.
I have also wrestled since I was four and have gone multiple years undefeated. After a three year stretch of being undefeated, I went on as an 8th grader to wrestle for the High School Varsity team and went to State. My goal is to letter for 5 years!
Riding Goals
I ride to challenge myself and be out in the world with my own thoughts. When I ride, I can process school, other sports and my personal life. I can continually challenge myself to get better! My goal this year is to end the season strong and put myself in a position to move up a class next season.
Competitive Highlights
The first two years I rode, I mostly came in dead last in almost every race. I realized how timid I was and how much practice I needed to get better. I started watching others race, asking other riders for tips and advice. I try to ride as much as possible and work hard on my weaknesses. Last season I placed top three in almost every race and have gotten multiple hole shots. I have added race classes and continue to rise!
