Personal History
My name is Kody Tolliver and I am fiftteen years old. I live in Magnolia Texas. I am very competitive on the track and in the woods, but I'm not a dirty rider where I take another rider out just to win. I will battle another rider and not give up my line though. I started riding at the age of five, with my first bike being a Honda XR50. I started racing in the South Texas Championship series, which was a local motocross series in the Houston, Texas area, when I was six. I had a great time and learned a lot about the skills needed to race. I raced the series for the next couple of years moving up to a Kawasaki KX60 and eventually a KX65, which was great because I was able to start feeling like I was really racing and competing, learning all the new challenges that come with the new response of the 65s and the ability to start jumping larger jumps. After Competing in the STC series I moved over to the Holeshot series were classes were a lot larger and the competition was tougher. I raced full time for the next three years finishing third over all in the 65cc 7-11 class my last year in that series. I also started racing a TTR125L half way through the series in 2004 and was able to finish well enough to end up with a sixth overall in the Mini 4-stroke class. I did compete in a National WORCS race in 2004 at Cross Creek MX with a fifth place finish on a 65cc. After moving up to the 85 class I took a two year break from competitive racing to get more accustomed to the 85. In 2007 my dad told me about the STORM series, which is a Hare-scramble format. This type of racing has been a great experience, not at all like motocross, I have picked up a lot of new skills being able to control my bike in a whole new environment, along with learning to read different lines on the track. I really enjoy off-road racing along with motocross. I competed in the 2006 National Amateur Race at Freestone during the AMA Outdoor National, but plan on focusing primarily on cross-country racing. I Finished 3rd over all for the 2007 STORM series, due to missing one race because of a broken wrist and a mechanical problem during one race that I finished 4th in after pushing my bike across the finish line. I am currently competing in 2 series for 2008, TORCS where I race 3 classes Supermini (currently 2nd), Miniopen (currently 1st), and 250F-intermidiate (currently 4th), STORM Schoolboy (currently 1st). My plans for 2009 is to prep for and race TORCS series, which is a Texas version of the National WORCS series, and some of the local motocross races. I also plan on making to a couple of the National races including GNCC, WORCS, Lake Whitney and Ponca. Well that is most of my life on the track but off it is a whole other story.
I'm in the ninth grade at Magnolia High school. I maintain an A-B average with my grades. I'm good in my classes and enjoy my teachers. I like to hang with my friends in school on the off time like at lunch in the halls and when were done with our work in class. When I'm not in school and not at my house I'm usually either at a friend's house, at the track, or either hunting and fishing. If I'm at my house I am usually on the bike on my little practice track working on turns or jumps. The day after I got my cast off I was on my track just working on turns. I have made one track with nothing but turns. And I spent about half a day just doing turns. That is pretty much what my life on and off the track is all about. I completed Dirtwise an off-road racing clinic taught by Shane Watts and Cole Calkins.
Thank you for taking the time for reviewing and considering my application. If your company decides to sponsor me as a racer I will represent you with good sportsmanship and an aggressive but clean competitive nature. I am very out going and friendly with a lot of friends at the track, I live and breathe the dirt bike life including Motocross and Cross Country racing.
Sincerely,
Kody Tolliver
Riding Goals

I am looking forward to participating in a couple of GNCC races this year, I will also be racing some Ponca Qualifiers, along with the amateur race at the AMA Nationals at Freestone again this year with a better finish, I will be competing on a big bike exclusively graduating from the Minis this year trying to win some championships in Off-road amd MX Lites classes.
