Personal History
I am from a fairly small town in Maryland called Gamber. Ever since I was young I always had a passion for anything with wheels or a motor. I started off building gas powered RC cars in my younger days and gradually moved up to go carts n taking them apart figuring out how to make them faster. Eventually that got old and I saved up my money to buy my first four wheeler. A hot rod Yamaha blaster with the typical non working breaks. Boy did I love that junker though, that's what started my obsession when I was about 14. I had a few different machines going on from there moved on to a 300ex ,of course it wasn't fast enough after a while so I had to start tinkering with that as well. Modifying intakes, doing an exhaust jetting trying to get as much power as possible, but still wasn't enough but it was sure reliable! In the same year I found a very cool four wheeler that I just had to have, a 1986 Suzuki Lt250r quad racer. This is where the need for speed started, I loved that thing, it was busted, it was ugly, but she ran. That was my first taste for what a race bike was and boy did it leave its mark. I only had it for short amount of time due to being younger, funding a project wasn't typically ideal so I wound up having to get rid of it and still had the old 300ex though. eventually moved on to a 400ex, to me it was a big step being that I was 16 possibly almost 17 at the time. I really enjoyed it. eventually it developed its issues as any air cooled bike does. So what was my answer? 426 kit with a stage 2 hot cam. That bike was the most reliable fun bike I ever had. That machine went everywhere from the track to deep in the hills of Pennsylvania to West Virginia. I had become a real fan of the trail riding scene so I ventured more towards that avenue of riding. At the end of the day though, I still missed the one bike I never should have gotten rid of, the 250r. I had a few more machines after the few years I owned my 400ex after it finally gave up on me.. Then life caught up to me, I had graduated high school, moved on to working all the time. I left my passion in the past.. I didn't have a place to keep a bike at the time after moving out on my own as well. so there the story of quad riding ended for 5-6 years. Until about 2 years ago just a few short months into the spring weather I decided it was time to get myself another machine after all these years. I picked up a 1996 Cr125..A dirt bike come on, I have no clue why I thought it was a good Idea, but I wanted a project to tinker with. Rebuilt the motor made it all nice ripped it around for a while, and I began to get that Itch again. It was then I realized it was time to get another quad. It couldn't be just any machine though, I wanted that Nostalgia. Something to bring back memories, so I went on a search. Low and behold I found exactly what I wanted. A 1988 SuzIt was what got me into going fast, wanting to race wanting to jump. By that time I had yet another first generation LT250r, a 1985 that I had restored. That bike I took to the track for the first time in almost 8 years. I was slow to start off, just rolling jumps cruising around. then as I got the feel for it again, I started to open her up. I began to remember how much I enjoyed being on a track. How much fun it was just being out there n being sucked in with adrenaline and feeling the arm pump from trying to tame a machine that's way more powerful that I was. It was literally the most fun I have had in years. From there I was determined. I sold that bike recently right after I sold my 1988 250r. Now im here. I currently have finished building a custom Lt 250r ready to hit the track. Im ready for the 2019 season to start in the next month. Now have moved on to a LTR450 four stroke.
