Personal History
My name is Kevin Omo and I am 22 years old. I've always been into cars and motorcycles since I was born. My dad had always had bikes and got me started into it so we could ride together. I've ridden dirt bikes since I was 9 but was never allowed to race growing up and then never had enough money to do so till after finishing college. I graduated high school in 2012. Then went on to Northwest Kansas Technical College for their automotive technology program. I worked all through school and graduated top of the class in 2014. I now work full time as a Ford drivability technician and ride and race any chance I get. There's a great local place about 6 minutes from my house that some friends and I usually go ride 2-3 days a week. Then go somewhere further away on the weekends.
Riding Goals
I've grown up in the sand and have always been a fast and flowy guy that didn't enjoy the tight stuff. I moved away from the sand after college and have since really started liking the tight technical courses. I've been practicing a lot with some A class vet trials riders and have been learning a lot about bike control. I am planning on learning better control this year and increasing my stamina.
Competitive Highlights
Last year was my first year ever to ride a hare scramble course. I race 7 events last year in the sportsman class and learned a lot. During the winter I got in a lot better shape and got a much better bike. I practice 3-4 times a week and workout 5-6 days a week. This year I have since moved up to racing the B class and have done well in the first few events this year. I plan on moving up to A class mid season this year as I learn more and my speed progresses. My goal is to next year be competitive in the King of the Moto's race in early February.
