Personal History

My name is Kevin Biegler. I am 51 years young.  I am married to a very supportive wife(Michelle) of 19yrs.  and we have 2 boys(Drew and Tyler), ages 18 and 15. We live in the city of Yorba Linda, Ca.  My sons and i all ride KTM's. My job as a high school teacher, enables me to have time during breaks and weekends to ride recreationally and/or race.  My wife and I love Red Mountain, Ca.  That is definitely our favorite place to camp and ride.  We are avid Rv'ers and spend most of our free time camping with family and friends.

The last time I raced desert was in 2009-2011 (both District 37 and USDR), and once in 2017 (District 37). I've been dual-sporting, riding with friends or my sons. In 2022, my son decided to try racing, so I asked the D37 race Official if I could be a Chase Rider and he obliged. My kid rode great and fast. But, i had my fun too and being back out in the desert racing scene was cool. We went out to another race and this time, i decided to just "Pie Plate" and race off the same line (Novice) as him. I ended up overaling the Novice line, catching and beating the Intermediate line that took off in front of us and finishing among the Top 5 experts in my age class, which was Senior Expert.

The fire had been lit. I hurried to race with a close friend of mine in Camp Wood, Az. at an ISDE Qualifier. There, I entered the Senior Intermediate class and finished 2nd. At that moment, I wanted to race again officially. Once i got back home, I renewed my District 37 card which was Senior Lwt. Expert. and headed out to the Dirt Digger's Dual-Euro Scramble, on May 1st, 2022. I lined up on the Expert line and proceeded to win both scrambles that day. Two races, two class wins. I ended up racing (4) more times, winning two more and finishing 2nd and 3rd in the other two.

I recently turned 50yrs. old, and my class changed from "Senior" Lwt. expert to "Magnum" Lwt. Expert. I have not lost a race as a Magnum. My goal is to keep this momentum going and earn the #1 Desert Plate in my class for 2023.
