Personal History

I started racing desert when I was 15. My father introduced me to this great sport and I earned some single digit numbers as an amateur. In 1982, I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Edwards AFB. During 1983-1988, I earned number 6x for three straight years as an expert in District 37; this was an extremely competitive class. I got out of the Air Force in 1986 and rejoined in 1989. I spent the next twelve years overseas and raced local motocross. In 2001, I was fortunate to be stationed again at Edwards AFB. After a year of rehab from knee surgery I got back into racing desert but was bumped back to the amateur class since I had been gone for 12 years. On February 8, 2004, I earned first Senior 250 Expert. This was very important to me since the first place senior usually beats the expert 250 class. I had another knee reconstruction replacing my right ACL in October, 2004. I'm so glad that's over with and I hope I never go through that again. During this time I've moved and retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service. I am currently working as a civilian at Edwards AFB, CA. I have been racing in the 60 plus expert class for the past few years. I enjoy the competition of grand prix racing, and pitting myself not only against other racers but also the terrain and obstacles that are on the course.

Riding Goals

Any more I just want to have fun while trying to be competitive within my class and enjoying dust free racing.

Competitive Highlights

My career highlight would have to be earning M1x for 2013 and 2014. It was a very tough, and competitive years. In 2008 I earned 02x, it was very competitive and I just missed 01x by 140 points. Another highlight was in 2023 as I missed the number one position for 60+ expert by seven points within the WORCS series. It is a fun series and I'll know be switching over to D-37 Gran Prix's as I had to travel some rather long distances for WORCS. We'll see once the 2025 schedule comes out as I really liked WORCS series..
