Personal History

I started racing desert when I was 15.  My father introduced me to this great sport and I earned some single digit numbers as an amateur. In 1982, I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Edwards AFB. During 1983-1988, I earned number 6x for three straight years as an expert in District 37; this was an extremely competitive class. I got out of the Air Force in 1986 and rejoined in 1989. I spent the next twelve years overseas and raced local motocross. In 2001, I was fortunate to be stationed again at Edwards AFB. After a year of rehab from knee surgery I got back into racing desert but was bumped back to the amateur class since I had been gone for 12 years. On February 8, 2004, I earned first Senior 250 Expert. This was very important to me since the first place senior usually beats the expert 250 class. I had another knee reconstruction replacing my right ACL in October, 2004. I'm so glad that's over with and I hope I never go through that again. During this time I've moved and retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service.  I am currently working as a civilian at Edwards AFB, CA.  I am racing in the Magnum 250 expert class this year after racing in the Senior 250 expert class for nine years.  I enjoy the competition of racing desert, and putting myself not only against other racers but also the terrain and obstacles that are on the course.

Riding Goals

I will be racing the WORCS series in 2016 as they have a different schedule and different racks that I've never raced.  I will also be trying to qualify for the Mammoth Motorcross and will also be racing the Virgina City Grand Prix in Nevada. I will also be helping Checkers MC throw one of the best Hare and Hound races of the year.

Competitive Highlights

My career highlights of the past two years would have to be earning M1x for 2012/2013 and M2x for 2011.  It has been a fun and so really competitive years.  I also had to opportunity to race the Baja 1000, as part of Mike Prunty's 405x team.  We finished 20th O/A in the quad/motorcycle class and 5th in class (over 40).
