Rider Updates

Aug 22 2013

What an awesome summer of racing. I competed in the CMC PacWest nationals up here in the Pacific Northwest. This is the first year that I have been able to complete the whole series. I have a ton of people to thank for the support this summer. All of my MXSPONSOR.COM sponsors along with Power-Link Performance, EvolveJewelry.com, Chaos Graphics, my friends, and my family that were right there behind me every race weekend. This year I mainly focused on the 25+ class. I put my head down and had some great battles all summer long. I stayed consistant and won the series this year and am looking forward to racing again next year. Right now I am about 2 weeks away from the Top Gun Team Shootout down in beautiful Washougal Washington. I will be racing on the Chaos Graphics team in the 25+ sportsman and 250 Jr. Classes. I am very excited to lay it all out on the track and see where I end up against some of the best riders we have in the area!

Haven't posted an update for a while so here we are. After blowing up my motor last July I was without a bike the rest of summer. I am lucky to have such supportive friends and family without whom this wouldn't even be possible. I was able to borrow my uncles CRF 250r to start the arenacross series for the 250 JR class and my best friend let me use his new KTM 350sx to run the 25+ Open class. The start of the series was a little rough. I was a bit rusty, not used to the bikes I was riding, and really just not in race shape. In December I was in a position where I was able to purchase a new bike since my suzuki was still in the shop being rebuilt. So thank you to Paulson's Motorsports of Lacey for the killer deal on my 2012 KX250F. My first set of motos on the kawi I was able to get second place in both classes. From there on I was gaining confidence and just getting comfortable on the bike again. My results started to get better and I was soon in the points lead for the series. This year I got to make a trip to Pasco Wa and Redmond OR for races which was really fun to see the different riders of those areas. After all is said and done I placed First overall in the 250 JR class and 3rd overall in the 25+ Open. I was very happy with my riding this season and am looking forward to outdoors and Arenacross next winter!

Well the summer Pac-West series up here in Washington Had its ups and downs. I had some decent motos and some motos I would really like to forget. The unfortunate side of the summer my engine blew and I was not able to get it fixed in time to finish out the series, or really finish out riding this summer. On a brighter note, my bike is at the shop (Power-Link performance) with whom I wouldn't even be close to having my bike back. Also would like to thank Innovative Suspension for setting my bike up to handle every whoop, jump, braking bump Ive hit throughout the summer. As far as what now, I currently have my head down cross training just waiting for my engine to come back so I can get out and moto. Other than that I am really looking forward to Northwest Arenacross National series, and possibly the Pro Caliber sponsored Arenacross series down at the Clark County Fairgrounds. Last but not Least I want to thank every Sponsor here on MXSPONSOR.com that stepped up and helped me out! I plan on sending my resume' out to all of you again and hope you are able to come with me through 2013! Thank you again!

Had a great weekend of racing. Got to the arena Friday with just enough time to get my practice laps in on a very sandy track. The track was very short and tight, even for arenacross standards. I got a 2nd place start on friday and was right behind first for the first 3 laps. I got a little over aggressive, and tried to make a pass on an inside corner after a whoop section. I ran into the back of the first place rider and fell and couldnt get my bike started back up. When the main came around I got another decent start and worked my way into second after passing the 4th and 3rd place riders and stayed there till the finish. The saturday results posted me in 3rd place, oh well.  Saturday started with a pre-race training session with EW Mx Schools Eric Waunch. Class went well and i was able to pick up a few new lines on the track which was very helpful for the night program. Saturday nights heat race I tool the holeshot, but got stood up in the second corner and passed and followed the rider to the finish for a second place in the heat. The main event later that night I managed another holeshot and gapped the rest of the field for the win in the main! I would like to thank the sponsors that have stepped up to help me out and thank the future companies that are willing to help me accomplish my racing goals. Also want to throw out a thank you to Wenatchee Honda for the hook-up on the new tire and Twisted Metalworks for mounting the tire up for me before the night program! I am now fully focused on getting ready for the Pac-west motocross series And the P.R.O. motocross series events!

Havnt been on the gate in a couple weeks, so i wanted to post and say that ive been on the bike and getting ready for the arenacross race in wenatchee on the 24th. I've been at the gym daily and really focusing on my corner speed and overall confidence in my riding abilities. If everything goes well, I will have good results to post soon!
