Personal History
Hi my name is kayla mcclelland, i am 19 years of age and currently living in Australia, Queensland on the Gold coast.Im studying at Central queensland university doing a bachelor of Exercise and sports science.
I started motocross when i was 13 years of age, started racing when i was 14 years of age, and have been racing ever since.2011 ive had my best year achieving 5th in Qld titles, 11th in Aust titles and 3rd in the shell series which is run throughtout Qld.i have been improving every race, with the more and more training i do and realising what it will take to achieve my goals in 2012. At this stage i have no sponsorships, and as you may know it can become extremely hard to be able to match the other girl competitors, and i know with a little help through sponsorship it would help greatly achieving my goal of becoming number 1 in Aust.
Riding Goals
In 2012 i wish to compete in alot more races and hopefully with sponsorship we can achieve that.
The goals for 2012 is to achieve a podium finish in every race, and to chase that Australian number 1 plate, but most importantly walk away from every race knowing ive put in nothing less but 100% effort in all races i compete in.
Competitive Highlights
2011- In australian titles, i managed to record the 4th fastest time, due to a little bit of bad luck with the weather i put the bike down to many times.
In the Queensland titles taking the holeshot, although the biggest highlight was passing
QLD number 1 but unfortunaltely made a mistake which gave her the race.but i am still taking each race as it comes and learning how to correct the mistake made in the past races.All in All with other highlights in the shell series, Aust titles and Qld titles throughout the year i was extremely rapped with the end results of 2011 it has been my best year so far and look forward to a even better year in 2012.
