Personal History
As a child I was nothing but active. Couldn't sit still for longer than five minutes, I always had to be doing something. From the time I could walk, till now, my sports that I had been involved goes as follows: Tee Ball, Gymnastics, Karate, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Competitive Swimming, Harescramble Racing, Color Guard, Dance and lastly Motocross which I am obviously still involved in. During my childhood I had endured some really harsh and excruciating bullying which has since shaped me into the person that I am today and is the reason why I have so much confidence to pursue passions I had kept to myself. I live with my mom and dad, my brother and my Nana. My family is my number one support system and they're the reason I continuously push for my dreams and passions. I raced one season of Harescramble and was not able to continue due to scholarly struggles. Once I got my full time job with the State Police, I was able to finally afford a bike and gear and start racing this year. Used my full tax refund plus a paycheck or two to pay for an 08 YZ250f that could definitely use some tender love and care.
Riding Goals
Well because I am now 20 years old and the likeliness of making it to Loretta's or acquiring a pro card for instances is quite slim(as much as I'd love to get to that point), my main race goals are to go out there and ride like one of the guys and enjoy the stress relief riding instills in me. Another goal is to help diminish to stigma behind female racers which has gotten increasingly gotten better and will continue to progress through the years. Lastly I want to show other people who struggle to lose weight like I do, both male and female, that you can do whatever they put their mind to. This year I plan on just still getting my feet wet and ease myself back into the lifestyle that I am not fully prepared for. Come next year I will be coming back with a winter full of training and a more serious approach to my racing career.
Competitive Highlights
A couple highlights would have to be the first time I pulled a 2nd out of a gate rather than being last and placing 3rd, beating two girls who had been racing for years prior to me. Any other accomplishments would have to be just basic instances such as clearing my first tabletop, hitting my first jump and taking different ruts to pass riders.
