Personal History
UPDATE: Karson now almost 6 years old is riding his dirt bike every weekend. Getting used to fly through corners and standing up going through bumpy parts of the area we ride on. He is getting really comfortable and sometimes scares me when riding super fast through corners. haha We will be buying him some safety gear for his birthday so he can get on a track and get him going over some hills/jumps and cornering. He loves to help me maintain the bike and always washing his bike to keep it clean.
I am writing this on behalf of my son, Karson. Karson is the youngest at 5, he has an older sister, Haedyn 6. Karson enjoys his dirt bike, playing with RC Cars, shooting his bow with me (Brice - Dad), and anything outside to keep him active. Karson got his first dirt bike when he was 4 years old, which is an SSR 70cc. We had training wheels put on because he was not tall enough to reach the ground yet. He loved cruising around by himself in the yard and throughout the neighborhood. I would ride the bike with him every now and then, he absolutely loved going fast and was never afraid of it. He has never been trained by anyone besides myself teaching him what I know and have experienced in my past. He has a good year of riding it with training wheels. I have been overseas for the past year and every time I talk to him, that is the first thing he asks me is when can we get his dirt bike out of storage. We will be moving to AZ in April 2016 and I plan to get him started right away without training wheels to see how he does. He also enjoys watching motocross and freestyle on YouTube with me whenever I was home so I feel he will continue to enjoy motocross.
Riding Goals
My goals for Karson are to be able to control the bike without training wheels, be consistent with taking turns and overall handling of the bike. I would also like to get him to be able to shift out of first gear, I never taught him while he was on training wheels considering how big the bike was compared to his current size at the time. Hopefully I will be able to get him comfortable enough so I can take him for rides in the desert.
