Personal History

I got my first bike, an 2001 XR50, and started riding when i was four years old. I rode ocassianly and the bike spent most of the time parked. When i was nine my dad got me a 2003 YZ85 for christmas. That summer i rode around on our property with my father, a former pro, teaching me proper technique. I was planning on racing the following year but family emergencies and the economy put a hold on my plans. A few years later when i was fifteen i decided to go back to motocross after school sports did not quite work out for me. That summer i wen to visit my dad (Divorced parents) in PA. The only bike we had for me to ride was his 2001 KTM 520sx. I spent the summer riding that and towards the end of my stay he bought me lessons with my current trainer Mark Wundrack. After going back to school at my moms house in KY. I was fortunate enough to have my mom buy me a 2009 YZ250F. I rode through the remainder of the school year in the small pasture behind her house. That Febeuary my father and trainer drove to my moms house and picked me up before heading to NC. I raced my first race aboard a 2006 YZ250 i had gotten for christmas from my dad at NCMP. Following a minor snow storm the track was all mud and very technical, and despite falling over in what seemed like every corner i still finished the race. Fast forward through my first year of racing where i accomplished many goals i had. My second season racing started later than planned due to a 7 month shoulder injury i sustained the previous year. Despite all the adversity, and being out of shape, i still managed to qualify for the regional qualifiers and had some bad luck knocking me out from the national. Looking ahead to the 2014 race season, my training has stepped up and I'm staying healthy in preparation for the area qualifiers.

Riding Goals

My goals for the 2014 Race season is to Qualify for the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Amateur National Championship At Loretta Lynn's In the Novice "C" class. Looking to the next few years i hope to continue climbing the classes and attend more Amateur nationals.

Competitive Highlights

So far in my relatively short career ive had some great experience at many races across the country. This year i placed third at the Unadilla Northeast Area Qualifier after being on the bike for only 2 weeks due to injury. I also traveled to Danville, VA where i took home a second, and forth to qualify for the Southeast Regional. After competing in Both regionals and learning a lot about what the racing is like i spent the rest of the year preparing for the upcoming 2014 race season.
