Personal History

Hi, my name is Kale Prenger and I am 24 years old. I am from a small town in the heart of Missouri. I am married and we have two fur balls named Keilee and Naomi.  My wife and I are active duty Air Force and are currently stationed in Idaho.  I have been riding and racing motocross since I was 4 years old. I grew up in a family that was around motocross on a regular. I have two older brothers that rode also. My father and mother have had a farm all of my life and while I was growing up we were always out riding the trails or motocross track that we had built on the farm. We also raced at some of the local tracks or fair races in the area as much as we could. I even had the chance to ride Supercross at the age of 7. My father got me a spot in the KTM Jr. Supercross Challenge at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. We practiced and practiced and I was so excited to race but when the week of the Supercross came, I got scared and told my father I didn’t want to race anymore. He gave me a day or two and tried to change my mind but I just wasn’t having it. He called his contact and told them that I would not be racing anymore. But, the day before the race I changed my mind and my father called to see if I could race. Unfortunately, someone had already taken my spot and it was too late. I still think about that to this day. Who knows what that could have led to if I had actually raced?

In my opinion, there is not much in this world that takes your mind away from the things of everyday life like riding a dirt bike does. I joined the Air Force at the age of 21. The first couple years after joining, I maybe rode a couple times and I really missed the fun and thrill of riding and racing motocross. I also hadn’t missed going to a Supercross race in 19 years until I joined the military so that part of my life that I grew up with I had been missing for a couple years now. This past winter I finally made it to a Supercross again and that reignited the spark for riding. So I told my wife that I wanted to get back into riding like I used to and she agreed with me so much that she even wanted to get a bike for herself, so that’s what we did! We’ve made riding our hobby and have gone almost every weekend since.  Once we have little ones we plan to make it our family hobby also.

Riding Goals

My first goal is to get back into the riding shape that I used to be in when I was racing before. I just recently decided it was time for an upgrade from my 2007 YZ250f so I bought a 2018 YZ250f. I had my 2007 set up very well for me so getting my new bike set up for me will be one of my first goals also. I'm going to ride and race as much as I can this summer. I've never tried to get any sponsors before but I got recommended to try it from some other riders recently so thought I would give it a shot. I would love to get my name out there and would proudly represent anybody sponsoring me.

Competitive Highlights

I have quite a bit of racing under my belt anywhere from the pewee class when I was younger to the B/intermediate class as of late.
