Personal History
My name is Kaitlyn, I often go by Kate. I am a nursing student at the University of Regina, I will be going into my second year in the fall. When I'm not at school or riding my bike, you can find me working at the mines washing trucks, camping, or playing slow pitch. I also enjoy racing in the enduro races, this summer will be my third year racing. I love racing, whether its racing cars or dirt bikes, it gives me a huge adrenaline rush and I love it.
The first time I rode a dirt bike was when I was five, and I instantly fell in love. My brothers got their dirt bikes first and I would ride them around our farm. It look me a few years to convince my parents to get me a bike and finally when I was fiftteen I got one of my own! It was a KX 85 and I raced it for a year, then I got a YZ 125 and raced that for two years, and this year I moved up to a KX 250F. I am excited to race my new bike this season.
Riding Goals
I ride because I am passionate about dirt bikes and racing. I love being on my bike, spending time at the track with all the other racers, and the rush I get when the gate drops is the best. I am also very competitive and racing motocross allows me to be competitive. My goal this year is to hit more jumps, perfect my starts, start racing in C class, and achieve at least third over all in ladies class. Another goal of mine is to race in Nationals, I have not decided if I should complete this goal this season or next season.
Competitive Highlights
Last season I achieved fourth place over all in ladies class. Last year I accomplished most of the goals I set for myself, which included hitting jumps, doing starts without stalling my bike, and improving my cornering skills.
