Personal History

My name is Justin Wade Carr. I am 16 years old.  I have been racing since i turned 6 years old.   I did ride 125 intermediate. I have had badluck since the beginning. The biggest year in motocross for me was 2003. In 2003 i attended spring national and finished top 5 in every class on 80's. A few weeks went by and i trained really hard and pushed myself to do good in school. Then Loretta Lynn Qualifiers come around. I made my area by finishing in 3rd. So then i started getting ready for regionals and training hard and stuff like that, and of course i kept my grades up where i could do all of this. Two weeks before the regional i went to a race in Tyler, Tx, at a track called Swan Mx. The wind was blowing very horrible this day.I was leading on the first lap, came over a downhill double, and the wind blew my bike sideways, and i bailed off the side of the bike, unfortunately i still landed on the track, and the kid that was in second landed on me. So yea they took me back to the trailor in the little med cart and stuff. We got over there and they were like yea your ok, you just frogged your leg. I had another moto about 20 minutes later on my 80. So my dad was asking me if i was ok and i told him it hurt really bad and he asked if i wanted to ride the moto or not, i told him i would try. Even though i couldnt even put weight on my leg i still went out there, because i didn't want to get behind. I went out there and got the holeshot, and led the first lap. I pulled off the track after the fist lap because i couldnt take the pain in my leg anymore. So my dad was pissed at this point. We drove 4 hours back home and the next day i went to the doctor. He then sent me to another doctor.  He told me i had torn my acl in my left knee in half. So then he said i had to have surgery to repair the acl. We talked to him and i talked my dad into letting me hold off on the surgery for a while. So i started running everyday, but had to be really easy with my leg. i couldnt squat down or turn my hips or it would pop out. I showed up to regionals with no confidence that i was going to lorettas at all. Practice went well, and the first moto i finished 4th. Second moto on the third lap i was in 2nd and i went around a sharp corner and took the inside instead of the bowl on the outside and when i went to put my leg out, my leg caught the ground and my knee popped out. I had no choice but to pull off the track. I was in screaming pain. So i pulled off, and i was pissed off at my self, and just hated everything that moment. All my hopes and dreams were ruined by one fall down that happened back earlier that year. We loaded up, went home and had surgery on my knee 2 weeks later. I was out for about 5 months recovering and riding a stationary bike to where i could move my knee in the full range of motion once again. I came back into the sport in June of 04, I rode in the texas sundown series and finished first in both 85 12-13 and Supermini. Later on that year i was practicing at my track and wrecked and broke my arm in two places, and shattered my hand, and broke two knuckles. I was about for about 3 months then. 05 i didn't get to ride because my parents were trippin about me getting hurt. I mean i have broke alot of things, but the acl tearing and the arm breaking right after that kinda shut it all off. In 06 i was still begging my parents at this point for a new bike. And christmas 06 I asked for two new bikes and thank god i got them. I got two new kx250f's. I started practicing the big bikes and went straight into 125 intermediate after a little practice. I practiced more than i raced and in spring of 07 i tried for Loretta's Lynn's again. I went into the area as the underdogg and still came out with a qualifying position 6th. Everything was going good up to about 2 weeks before regionals. Two weeks before regionals i was playing basketball with a friend, just messing around, and broke all three bones in my left arm, and dislocated my capitellum in my elbow. Two days later i had surgery on my elbow and arm and now i only have 45 degrees range of motion in my left arm. I have 2 screws and 2 plates in my arm holding it all together. Every since then i havent been able to ride much at all. I have practiced a little, but i will never have a chance again to fullfill my hopes and dreams like i wanted to, and i still pray every night that one day i will get to accomplish these dreams and goals that i have had in my heart and mind since i was just a little guy. Thats my storyy.
