Personal History
My name is Justin Short from Gainesville, Florida. I am 16, currently racing in the hare scramble class of the Florida Trail Riders. I grew up in earshot of Gatorback Cycle Park, and have watched the pros for as long as I can remember. My first bike was a Christmas present in 2005, and I have been riding ever since. I am currently racing a 2015 Yamaha YZ250FX. On the side, I enjoy editing riding film and uploading videos to my YouTube channel- S & S Racing Team.
Riding Goals
My short term goal is to win this season's championship in my class. I am currently racing FTR Junior B 250 class. Next season, I will work to improve my skills and gain sponsorships along the way. I maintain a 3.5 GPA and plan to dual enroll into Santa Fe College my senior year of high school. I want to transfer into a university and major in construction management. No matter where my education takes me, I will always race. This is not a hobby, it's a lifestyle. "Race it, break it, fix it, and repeat."
