Rider Updates

This year has been slow on the racing front for me due to college. I started my first semester at Clemson University in January and currently have a 3.0 GPA. While going to college I also worked part time to keep my racing budget up. My first race of the year was the Brown Mountain Lights Enduro in Morganton, NC. (www.setra.org) This was my best race of the season, placing 2nd in the 250 B class. I was on my 2007 KTM 250 XCF-W riding mainly against 250 two strokes. This was also my best finish in the B class to date. I enjoyed the race even though it was 35 degrees out and raining. I felt good through each section and was really happy with my riding when the race was over. I also competed in the General GNCC and the Steele Creek GNCC. The GNCCs are always good races with some of the fastest racers in the country. Coming into these two races I was pleased with my riding but came out with less than stellar results. I believe part of this was due to me over training during the week, which at the time I did not realize that was the case. I have since switched my training up and know now what to do to stay fresh the week before the race. The remainder of the season has been a break in racing for me with a good bit of trail riding. This brings me to the rest of 2008.            I will be doing select enduros starting September 1st along with attending college and continuing to work. In 2009 I would like to do a few more hare scrambles and pick my speed
