Personal History
My name is Justin. I am based out of Rapid River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I'm married with a 2.5 year old boy named Arlo, who naturally loves dirt bikes. I build and maintain powerlines for a living and I spend most of my time free riding/racing and spending time outdoors.
Riding Goals
I ride dirt bikes simply for the love and thrill. My step dad gave me my first dirt bike at age 9, which was a Honda Trail 70 and from there I progressed through bigger bikes and it's been an absolute passion.
I didn't get into racing as much as I do now until I was about 30. I have 3 close friends that I race with. We compete in ice races UMIRA and GLIR, Distric 16 flat track, WIXC hare scrambles and the US Hard Enduros. Beyond that we have a great group of guys we ride with along with all our dads which is the best part.
We're all active in making single track trail and helping our local cycle club when we can.
Competitive Highlights
This year was my 5th season on ice with 2 championships in pit bike. 1 championship in B class and 1 in Vet on 450s. This year I moved up to A class and Outlaw which I landed a 3rd in A and 1st in Outlaw in our only race due to poor winter.
Flat track will be my 3rd part time season due to having a young child. I have gotten a couple heat wins in B and Vet and a couple 2nd and 3rd place finishes in mains. I will be racing the Dairyland Classic for the second year which is a very big event for the area and also raced Flat Out Friday in Milwaukee.
Hare scrambles will be my 3rd part time season. I've achieved 2-1st place finishes in the team format, 1st in B and 3rds in B and 30+.
This will be my first real season chasing a couple hard enduros in the US Hard Enduro series. The first race is the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout and Mad Moose Hard Enduro. In 2022, I gutted out at 3rd place finish at the Mad Moose Hard Enduro in Marquette MI.
