Personal History
I am 58yrs. old and a retired Air Force Master Sergeant. I have been riding/racing a total of just over 2 yrs. My husband used to race, but stopped due to back problems, he just recently start racing AVDRA Vintage races for fun. I decided to start riding so we could go out together and do it as a family. I figured that I would give motocross a try and see how I could do against other racers. I am known at the local track as "Grammy" because my husband and I bake cookies and brownies and hand them out to the kids and fellow racers at the track. Since I have started racing, I have met some great people who are very supportive of my racing .My racing has also helped spark more interest in women coming out to compete at the races.
Riding Goals
My future racing goal is to do the best I can and have as much fun as possible. I realize that at my age, I will never "set the world on fire" , but as long as I have fun, that is what matters most to me.So far, I have broken my ribs three times and have still managed to finish in the top three in my class. Another goal is to stop breaking ribs and stay healthy.
