Personal History
I’m Juddson Kelly from corner Alabama. I’m 8 years old and have been racing motocross and arenacross for three years. I have the best family I could ever ask for. My mom, dad, sister, Mimi, papa, and uncle come to every race and practice to cheer me on. I have 3 race bikes, 2017 cobra fwe, 2019 cobra fwe, and a 2021 Yamaha yz65. This is my last year in the 50cc classes and so far it’s been my best! When I’m not racing, training or at school, you can bet I’m riding my klx110 on the practice track or in the trails. I love everything to do with dirt bikes, my friends get tired of me talking about it all the time. When I get older I hope to become a professional athlete who races dirt bikes. The two riders I look up to and would love to meet are Chad Reed and Eli Tomac.
Riding Goals
My riding goals are to become the best in my class and to be a small town kid that others look up to. I love it when other riders and parents come up to me at races and complement me and want to talk. I always try to help and pump up the younger riders to let them know they are doing great. My goal this year is to make it to lorettas and be noticed. I also applied for the ktm jr challenge and I’m waiting to hear back from them to see if I’m selected. I’m going to try to complete as much of the Alabama state series as I can this year, depending on how qualifiers and regionals for lorettas go. Then my last race in the 50cc classes will be at mini o’s. Next year will be all the same but on my yz65.
Competitive Highlights
My first year racing 2019/2020 I completed the Alabama arenacross series and finished 5th in 50cc entry open and 5th in 50cc entry shaft (pw). Last year I completed the Alabama arenacross series 2020/2021 5th in 50cc 7-8 year old and 5th in 50cc open, and 6th in small 4stroke on my klx. I also bounced around racing some in Alabama state series, king of the mountain series, and the Tennessee outdoor series. I didn’t make enough races in any of them for point because I was playing baseball too. Now I’m strictly moto. I just finished the 2021/2022 Alabama arenacross series, I placed 1st in 50cc open, 1st in 50cc 7-8 y/o, 1st in 65cc 7-9 y/o, and 2nd in 65cc open. Now arenacross is done, I’ve started my road to lorettas.
Finished 3rd in 50cc 7-8 and 50cc open in the 2022 Alabama state series. Just completed the 2023 Alabama arenacross series, 1st in 65cc 7-9, 1st in 65cc open, and 4th in 85cc 9-11. This year I’ll be competing in the Alabama state series and the King of the mountain series. I’m also going to run in the southeast qualifier at Monster Mountain.
