Personal History

Riding Since: 1995 I have been riding since I got my first bike in 1995 (kx100). I learned to ride in the WV Mountains. I remember watching Scott Plessinger and Tommy Norton shredding the Hardrock 100 and the Sycamore GNCC, I would go home and try to replicate what I saw. Off-road racing became my passion. I have degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fairmont State University) and am a certified Motorcycle Tech (MMI), so working on bikes comes natural to me. I love to race older bikes, the past season (2015) all my races were on a 2004 YZ 250 two stroke. I have a wife, son and daughter that are supportive in my racing endeavors, they enjoy the racing atmosphere as well. I can't wait to teach my children to ride that will be a life highlight for sure. Bottom line is I love bikes and racing. My goal is to be a 60+ competitor, I use an engineering approach and love to study new concepts. I am always working on my riding skills and am currently working on a food and exercise program that mimics race conditions. I am looking forward to applying these tools in pursuit of a 2016 WEXCR Open B Title this year. With support of my family and due diligence I believe it will happen.
