Personal History
Hi guys, my name is Joshua Foster and I am 6 years old. I have just started my first season in racing this year and I'm competing in the MCCNI Club Championship, Beyond Signage Championship and the Ulster Championship over here in Northern Ireland. I'm also travelling to England in August to ride in Master Kids MX which is a UK wide event.
I have been riding since I was 3 years old when I started on a pw50. I rode the pw50 for about a year and then moved onto a KTM mini and I now ride a Husqvarna TC50. I turned 6 in December last year so this is my first season to learn race craft and I'm having great fun with my dad travelling all over Ireland to go to races.
My dad owns Beyond Signage LTD which is one of the largest Signage companies in Ireland and he sponsors a championship with the MCCNI which attracts around 300 riders at each race meeting. My dad's company also prints my decals so I get new decals every month to keep my bike looking fresh. I have a profile on Instagram with approx 1500 followers which my dad posts pictures etc on every week. My Instagram handle is @lil_rippers_ni if you want to check me out.
I live just outside Belfast and my mum, dad, grandad, granny and little sister are my biggest fans. When I'm not riding my dirtbike I'm on my Kuberg trials bike ripping up my dad's garden or riding my BMX in the local skate park. As long as it has two wheels I'll try my best to ride it :-)
Riding Goals
At the minute I just want to have fun. This is my first year racing and I'm competing against kids who are 9 years old. At the minute I'm sitting in 10th place overall for the all Ireland Club Championship. As this is my first year I'm enjoying making new friends, learning some race craft, spending time with my dad and going to coaching every Thursday night. Within the next few years I'd like to succeed in the Club and Ulster Championship here in Ireland and then when I move onto a 65cc I'd love to go to England and compete in the British Nationals. If I could go to England and ride it would be absolutely awesome and I have the full support of my mum and dad to do whatever I decide to do.
Competitive Highlights
Since this is my first ever season I have only had 3 proper races. I have rode the very deep sand at Desertmartin motocross track and out of 28 riders I came 12th which my dad was really proud of since the sand was deeper than my wheels. I'm currently enjoying the travelling around different sand and hardpack tracks and going to coaching every Thursday night. I'm learning new skills every week and I'm really enjoying making new friends and spending lots of time with my family.
I hope that next year I will start to become more competitive in the Automatic class and I hope I can grow a few inches so that I can touch the ground on my bike :-)
