Personal History
My father used to drag race sleds so we always had dirt bikes, quads, or sleds to ride growing up. I rode trails, some enduro, and some single track for the majority of my seat time but decided to race motocross in 2016. Friends and some family shared the same passion growing up and a lot of weekends were spent exploring every inch of every trail near whoever's house we had stayed at the night before. The point of riding back then was to just get out and see what we could accomplish or conquer. We didn't have tracks built for us, we rode the ditches and jumped anything we could, climbed hills to see how high we could get, or just tried to see who could hold the longest wheelie. Outside of motocross or bikes for that matter, hunting, fishing, training, and various winter sports catch my attention. The off season usually involves snowboarding or XC skiing when the conditions are right anyway. Also includes various projects that range from repairing vehicles or building up my bike for the next season. Between work and sleep, any leftover time is usually spent trying to help out my grandparents at the farm, or my family at the house with simple projects or just lending a hand when asked if I can offer help.
Riding Goals
Better myself in corners so that every other section of the track can have more speed to be carried through it. Gain more and more seat time to become more comfortable on different types of tracks such as sand or black dirt. Try at least one new thing at each new track I ride on whether it's changing up my line or doing a triple instead of a double. Goal for this past season was to finish in the top five at least once and I accomplished it twice in the same day. Goal for next year is to finish in the top three. I'm either going to go for the championship in 250C, Open C, and 450C, or move up to B class and try to rank in the top five overall.
Competitive Highlights
Finished third overall for my rookie season in Open C as well as sixth overall in 250C. Finished second in 450C first time racing that class. Raced multiple new tracks this year and went into turn one in the top five multiple times. Lap times are roughly ten to fifteen seconds a lap faster now than they were during my first race.
