Personal History
Hi my name is Joshua Byrd.I am 14 years old and I love to race flattrack.I have been racing since I was a 4 years old and I have had it in my blood ever since.i like to talk to my fellow competitors and joke with them.i also love to help any racer with pointers or help on there bike.I am very positive on and off the track whether I have lost or won.i do not boast if I win.i congratulate the other riders after the race.I want to inspire people that you can do and accomplish anything if you put mind to it."Can't" is not a word in my vocabulary.i ride vintage bikes because I want to show that you don't always have to have a new bike to finish in the top three competing with 2009+ 450cc four strokes.I race a vintage Yamaha tt 500.My number is #97.It is a vintage Yamaha yellow. My profile picture is when I raced at vintage AMA nationals at Tarheel Speedway.I was running pro amautar. The bike I was riding was a 2008 crf450r framer.it was not my bike.i was fortunate enough to get to hop on it and ride.I am just a small town boy with some big dreams.I will try my best to support my sponsors and get the word out about them.i thank everyone that is sponsoring me by helping make my dreams come true.racing dirt bikes is just not a hobbie to me,it's a lifestyle,a way of life for me.
Riding Goals
To help others in my sport as much as people have to me. I want people to feel welcomed in the sport of racing dirtbikes and to keep flattrack alive. I always want to lend a hand with anybody that needs it on and off the track. No matter what,I want to always put a smile on a persons face.
Competitive Highlights
I got third place at the vintage nationals in the open pro class on a vintage 500 competing with up to date 450's at Tarheel,nc. Also I got fourth place in the open amateur championship at woodleaf speedway,nc.
