Rider Updates

After declaring this to myself, I recieved the news that all of the races in January and February were cancelled due to cold and moist weather. This was kind of a set back in my eyes. But i have ree nriding my brains out in the mean time. Then I just found out that the first raeof the year is in March on the 28th. So that is my plan for march. To train, lift weights more and ride harder. The more I ride, the better i'll be on the race track.

Well as we were riding, we found this wide trail of mud. So we tried to wheelie through it. In the process, Jordan flipped over backwards and crashed. Then we headed back to our trucks and hung out for awhile. But Jordan seemed like something was bothering him. I went back to where we had been ridin and was pushing myself on a little track. I looked downtheroad and I seen himinhis truck plowing through the mud. Later he got stuck and neededme to get his truck out. Well my truck is also two wheele drive so we both got stuck. But in the end, my ford pulled out another Dodge. lol so like i said, thinhs can be decieving.

My cousin alex recently went riding in an area called Big Willow near Payette. He was not alone, he had between five and seven friends with him. Well he decided to go cruise around and explore the terrain since he had never rode there before. Well his cruise turned out to be cut short. He was riding in fourth gear when he noticed that he was coming up on a cliff that dropped into a ravine. This made him pannic and lock up the brakes. But he was travelling too fast and flew over the edge. Once he hit the ground, he blacked out and an hour later his friends found him. Alex was lucky that there was a local EMT, Randall Feister, was also there. Feister called for an ambulance only to find that he had fractured Alex's right femur. Air Saint Lukes was called and they transported Alex to Saint Alphonsus in Boise. Alex had suffered a broken femur and a bad concussion. That night he went into surgery and had four six inch screws put in his leg to keep it in place. This was one month ago. Now Alex is up and moving on crutches but still has to stay off of his right leg. He told me that he will ride again its just a matter of when and where. In my oppinion, way to stay positive Alex.

My cousin and about five of his friends decided to go riding out at Big Willow in Payette. Well alex, my cousin, was just ridin along in fourth and before he had time to slow down or stop, he went over the edge of a cliff and down into a ravine. Later he was lifeflighted into Saint Alphonsus Hospital where they found that he had fractured femur, a concussion, and air in his chest from the impact. After his surgery for his leg, the surgeon said that it was a v shaped fracture and that he had to put four long screws into his leg in order to hold it together. Now, my cousin is laying on a hospital bed, doped up with morphein and valume just to control his pain. All of this just for a day of riding at a place where he had never rode before. What makes this even worse is that now I feel partially responsible for his injuries because he had tried to call me that morning and was going to invite me to go along with him and the boys. But instead I was busy with school and had to stay there. If i would have been there, who knows what good I could have done to help with his accident. I should have been there with him. Even if that means being in the bed right next to him feeling the same pain he is feeling right now. I should have been there.

My caousin and I went out to ride Pleasant Valley Raceway previously on saturday. Well then we began to push harder. Before we knew it, we were all out pinned goin a full race of twelve laps and battling majorly. Pretty soon, we are are both going faster then we have in actual races. We both come flying over a sixty foot table top following a small hairpin corner. I look back and all I seen was a poof of dust and dirt. I kept riding but just not as hard. Later I found out that Alex, my cousin, had flown off of the side of the jump and slammed into the water tower. With his motorcycle following him and eventually running him over. We later found out that he suffered a severe concusion and road rash all over his body. That night he had this to say " I'll think twice about pushing you on the track". Just for the record, he was trying to make me laugh since I felt bad for him.

we got their and my neighbor met us out their. Ten minutes later he blew his fuel line. Then My brother disappeared. So while Jessie and the guys were taking sick pictures, i was looking for my annoying little brother. we all ride honda, but when my brother told me that Yamahas were better, I loaded up his bike, and he sat there till the rest of us were good and ready to leave. So we all took pictures together. But not like you might think. We were poppin wheelies and doin whips over some tabletops. Then we all got together and jumped side by side. And my cousin and I touched tires in mid air as we whipped towards eachother. It was the coolest and scriest moment of the day all in one jump. but all in all, it was a good day for ridin. But then again when isn't it a good day to go ridin.

This weekend I raced at Pleasant Valley Raceway for the seventh round of the WIMS series. I raced the beginner class, but I wound up having a full gate when they threw me in with the pros, the intermediates and the juniors. What was funny about this was that I still placed high. In my first moto, I took eighth out of sixteen. However, I later took second out of sixteen. And I was racing against higher classes that killed me during practice. Saturday turned out to be a good day after all.
