Personal History

I'm originally from Bakersfield, CA. I grew up in the dirt there, free riding since I was 6 years old. I excelled in riding natural terrain jumps and hill climbing. I have also been riding on the street since I was 13 years old. My first road trip being with my father's motorcycle club, riding a late 70's British 441 Victor in a formation of over 300 people. I joined the Army one month after my high school graduation in 2004. I have deployed as an Infantryman to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. I am currently a Staff Sergeant, Recon Team Leader. I have also been a Riflemen, M240-B Gunner, Rifle Team Leader and Weapons Squad Leader. I have earned the Combat Infantryman's Badge, four Army Accommodation Medals and multiple other recognitions for performance. The year since my return from Afghanistan I've been training non-stop to get my body and mind ready for racing. All of my physical training has to pertain to racing. I run 2-5 miles a day and go to the gym twice a day focusing on core strength and stamina. I'm completely dedicated to racing and winning this year. Racing is a huge passion of mine and I take it very seriously, committing all of my energy and free time to racing. I want nothing more than to spend more time training and racing to achieve my goals, because I know I will accomplish them.

Riding Goals

I want to honestly know that I've trained longer and harder than everyone around me. I want to advance beyond my peers and earn that spot on the podium. I want to become a local professional. I want to leave this season knowing that even if I don't reach local pro or if I'm not standing on that podium, I gave it everything I had. I'll know that I've gained that experience and knowledge to win the next season because I am committed to motocross for the long term.

Competitive Highlights

I have only one year of racing motocross underneath my belt with each race finishing in the top ten of my class, minus the DTF's due to bike failures. I have been riding for 20 years and have always pushed myself to the limit. I have competed in many activities within the Army and everything I compete at I dedicate myself to completely. Things I have competed in, include finishing 3rd out of 215, in a 12 mile forced road march with a 35 pound backpack with a time of 2 hours, 13 minutes, 17 seconds. I have maintained the top score of 300 on the Army Physical Fitness Test which includes pushups, sit-ups, and a 2 mile run for 8 years.  I have shot Expert with my M-4 carbine, +36 / 40 shots, 2-4 times every year for the past 8 years.
