Rider Updates
May 12 2013
Since my last post I've been to three more races. In late March, I hit Oregon's high-desert for the Prineville XC. It was a brutal rocky course but perfect conditions. About a half-hour into the race I grabbed the lead & went on for the win. 1st place 30X & 7th overall.
On April 20th-21st I raced in Medford, Oregon at the Timber Mt. Harescrambles. Again, conditions were perfect. I made it a little easier on myself at these two events by grabbing the holeshot both days & leading every mile.
My next race is June 23rd, near Tillamook, OR, at the Devil's Head ISDE.

I kicked off the 2013 season with a solid ride & a victory last weekend in Goldendale, WA. For the second year in a row; I managed to win the 30 Expert class at the season opener for the OMRA cross country series.
The race went pretty good...considering I haven't had much time on the bike since having bi-lateral carpal tunnel surgery. I got a decent start, worked my way into the lead after a few miles & never relinquished it from that point on (finishing up 1st in class & 6th OA).
I'd like to thank Factory Connection Suspension, Gaerne Boots, Twin Air Filters, Choice Hotels & Gran-Prix Cycle for their sponsorship and support.
This weekend I am heading to the second OMRA cross country round in Prineville, OR.

Just picked up a new bike on Thursday...2013 YZ 250 2-stroke. This should help me out as far as the local racing scene is concerned. We race a lot of tighter woods & single track areas where the light and nimble 250 is a better option than the 450. Also, I have to say thanks to Gran-Prix Cycle Center in Oregon. They've helped me out a lot over the past 15 years and they're going to be helping me out even more for the 2013 season.
