Personal History
Hi, my name is Jonathan Beaver & I am 30 years old. I currently live in Albany, Oregon & racing motorcycles is what I love to do. I have other hobbies too...running, training, camping, hiking, backpacking and watching football, to name a few. For the most part though, I spend the majority of my time riding my bike, prepping my bike or training for races.
Riding Goals
In the short-term, I want to challenge for the win every time I line up. An intermediate goal of mine would be to win a championship within one of the regional series, in the pacific northwest. My ultimate goal would be to take a class win at an AMA national race within our region. In 2013, Oregon will host 2 rounds of the AMA Western Hare Scrambles Championship—so I'll get my chance and I will be working very hard.
Competitive Highlights
In 2010 I was able to earn 3rd place in the OMRA Gran-Prix series while racing the Open Expert class, getting one win and 5 other podiums during the GP season. Also in 2010, I earned a respectable 10th overall at the Fort Rock Hare & Hound and followed that up the next day with an 11th overall (3rd in class) at the Fort Rock Enduro.
2012 has been a year of highlights for me...I opened up with wins at the first two hare scrambles of the season (my first wins as a vet-expert) and followed those up with two second places at rounds 3 & 4. Also, I managed to close out my season with a solid victory at the Fall Classic 100-mile desert race.
