Personal History
I began riding when I was 12 yrs old on a trials bike. I moved on to trail riding with friends in high school and eventually started racing MX in PA district 6 during my early 20s. I raced for 4 or 5 years making it into the B class while a student at PSU. Career and family eventually took priority and the dirt bikes went away. 25 years later and I bought a used 2000 YZ250, fixed it up and started riding again. I decided at 49 it was time to race again, although this time it would be off road in the woods. I did a couple races that year, not finishing either one. I learned though and practiced at Pagoda MC in Reading and Candytown MC in Hershey, lost weight and got in better shape. I raced a couple more times this past year, moving to the super senior C 50+ class. I saw the checkered flag in both races finishing 4th in one and 3rd in class in the other for 11th overall for the year with only 2 races. Unfortunately, for riding time, I am a Senior trauma and critical care X-ray technologist at a level 1 trauma center and working every third weekend is a requirement, which cuts into weekend racing.
Riding Goals
My goal for next year is to keep my 20 year old bike running well and to make it to more races and finish top 6 in super senior C district 6 hare scrambles.
My overall goal is to ride more, have fun and not get hurt. To present myself in a professional and clean manner, while trying my hardest yet staying humble, caring for fellow racers and their families and being a good role model for fellow competitors, kids and family members
