Personal History

Rode my first dirtbike when I was 11 at a friends house. It was a PW 50 and my friend's cousins all noticed and said how fast I ripped the little bike for it being my first time. He also had a CRF 70 and let me ride it. So I got on the 70 and rode it better than everyone there. I'm not sure how but when I got on the bike it felt like everything came to me out of nowhere. I shifted the bike like I had been riding for years and I still remember having it pitted in these deep muddy ruts. A few months later I got my first bike, a TTR 50. At this point in time my dad and I were only out riding for fun and not training to be the next Ryan Dungey at 11 years old. A year later and I got a KLX 110 while my dad picked up a KLX 140L. Still we were just riding for fun. Two years went by we still had the same bikes untill I outgrew the 110. Another friend of mine had a dad who used to ride back in the day. At this time I was transitioning onto my first bike with a clutch. Cars and really anything that had a motor and wheels were my obsession all my life which meant that shifting a car or using a clutch seemed like a basic concept to me. I got on the 140 and was told to ease the gas up and let out the clutch slowy and then I was off. From that point like when I rode the 70 it all came naturally to me and I knew I could go far with this in my life. This was when I was attracted to racing and wanted to try it. I got a few motocross lessons and then a lesson with another coach in the woods. I automatically liked the woods better. I then transferred onto a KX100 and practiced more eager and anxious to race. I'll admit I was pretty scared to race being that at the time I had zero friends who rode or raced. Then summer of 2016 came, which I would get onto a big bike being the 125SX that I race today. In July of that summer I went to a overnight riding camp in the woods where I met a few kids who I'm still friends with and race with. In September of 2016 which was exactly a year after I learned how to ride clutch on the 140 I raced my first race. Since the first race I found out what I'd been missing out on and now I'm hooked on the sport. One thing I keep in my head all the time is when I was 6 years old down at my beach house. It was late and most of my family went to bed except my dad and my Popop who sadly passed in February of 2016 and was never around to see me race. So we were sitting at the kitchen table talking about guy stuff and my Popop said something to me. He said "You know what you would be good at John" I answered saying "What Popop?" He says back "That Motocross thing with the guys on those dirtbikes racing around."

Riding Goals

I'd like to place high in my races and even win a few. As I get older I'd like to even win a championship being when im 17 or 18. I would like to be sponsored or even a factory rider by 18 or 19 and race AA.

Competitive Highlights

My second race ever I placed 10th out of 36 people and rode the whole race with a concussion. Coming down from a elevated turn the guy in front of me went down and I had no other route to go but over him so I gassed it dumped the clutch and jumped over his bike (not hitting the rider or injuring him).
