Personal History
My name is Joey Landriault, I work as a commercial helicopter pilot in northern Ontario, Canada. I have been flying for 3 years professionally, working for an organization that does everything from aerial firefighting to supporting mining/exploration work. Aside from aviation my passion is dirt bikes. My younger brother and I eat, sleep and breathe all things racing. My family and I grew up racing in a local club in Wheatley Ontario, but unfortantely had to stop due to costs and my Dad having a serious injury while riding. This past May, my brother and I were finally able to make it back into the sport after being away for more than 12 years. It's hard to describe the feeling of being back on a bike after so many years. This has been a passion my brother and I have shared for so long and I feel it was the one thing missing out of our lives!
Riding Goals
I ride because it offers an escape to the everyday confines of life. Once the helmet goes on, it's just me and my motorcycle that matter in that moment. My brother and I plan to compete in the 150 "C" class of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) championship for the 2024 season in the USA. We plan to attend as many rounds as our work schedules will allow. I will be riding and training every week that I am not away for work. As we all know the cost of this sport is huge. Between the bike maintenance, parts, travel expenses etc. it is difficult to get through a season. I am looking for any kind of support that could help me get through this upcoming season. If this year goes well I will be looking to move into "B" class for 2025 competing in the full 3 hour race.
